Day Project Leader, L'Arche Manchester

Full-time, permanent role £22,173 (we would consider job share)

Closing date: 16th July 2019

Interviews: 22nd July 2019 (subject to availability)

We are looking for someone to lead the growth and development of our daytime project, centred around our Hive Community Café and new garden project.

Do you want to create a vibrant Day Project whilst growing potatoes?

Can you lead a team to build creative work-based opportunities for people with disabilities?

Are you passionate about creating an equal society for all?

L’Arche Manchester may be the place for you

L’Arche Manchester is a vibrant, faith-based community of people with and without learning disabilities as well as a professional support and care provider (judged as Outstanding by the CQC). We have 4 houses where people are supported to live as part of their wider community and we have a newly established café and garden project.

Proud to be part of an international federation of L’Arche communities across the world, we are also deeply rooted in our home city of Manchester. You can see just some of what we do here on our website.

We’re looking for someone with knowledge and experience of supporting people with learning disabilities in work-based therapeutic activities who has a specific interest in developing our horticulture venture. But far more important is an enthusiasm for our values and the ability to inspire and lead others.
