Are you inspired to bring your skills and experience to support our vision of a world where everyone belongs?

L’Arche Manchester is expanding and setting up a new house in Rusholme for 4 people with a learning disability and some assistants.  We need to recruit 2 Deputy House Leaders to help support the new team and ensure it is a great place to be and to fill the vacancy at our established house in Withington, where the existing deputy has taken up a new role within the L’Arche community.

L’Arche Manchester is a vibrant, growing, faith and relationship based community of people with and without learning disabilities as well as a professional support and care provider (judged as Outstanding by CQC). We currently have 5 houses where people are supported to live as part of their wider neighbourhood and we have a developing Day Activities programme.

We work toward a society where all belong – regardless of ability or difference – in which each person and their gifts are celebrated and valued. Relationship, friendship and celebration are central to our life together.

Proud to be part of an international federation of L’Arche communities across the world, we are also deeply rooted in our home city of Manchester. You can see videos showing just some of what we do on this website.

If you want to build a better world and a more human society, then L’Arche is the place to be!
